About the Course
This Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner is accredited by Highfield and delivered nationwide through a blend of interactive E-Learning and practical training. Upon completion, you’ll receive:
- A Diploma in Customer Service Practitioner Level 2
- Functional Skills qualifications in English or Maths (if required)
Your Role as a Dental Nurse
As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout their visit. Your duties will include:
- Greeting patients and welcoming them into the practice
- Managing appointment bookings and maintaining an organised diary system
- Handling patient enquiries both in person and over the phone
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
- Supporting the dental team with general administrative tasks
- Ensuring a positive patient experience from arrival to departure
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Training Structure
This apprenticeship is delivered by Babington, a leading provider in professional services. The program combines:
- On-the-job training at a dental practice
- Online study and weekly teaching sessions, accessible anywhere in the UK
- End Point Assessment (EPA) to evaluate your knowledge
Off-the-job training is fully funded by your employer, so you can focus on developing your skills without worry.
Schedule Shifts will be confirmed at interview staged but will fall between the pratice open times:
Shift patterns will vary - 1 weekend per month - 32 working hours a week
- Monday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Tuesday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Wednesday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Thursday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Saturday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Sunday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
