Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and have an enjoyable experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong guest service skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality. Previous restaurant or food service experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Provide attentive guest services, addressing any special requests or concerns
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and service stations
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and health regulations
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required
- Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions responsibly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver prompt service
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies is advantageous
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour to ensure positive guest interactions
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts
