About the Role
As a Pharmacy Counter Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the daily operations of the pharmacy. You’ll assist customers with their healthcare needs and ensure they receive outstanding service and support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers at the counter and processing transactions
- Offering advice on over-the-counter medicines and general health concerns
- Managing stock, organising shelves, and checking product expiry dates
- Supporting the pharmacy team with general duties
- Keeping the pharmacy clean, safe, and welcoming
- Participating in relevant training and development
Work Schedule
- Alternating two week rota (Fixed hours)
- Week 1 Tues 0900-1730, Wed 0900-1800, Thurs 0900-1800/ Week 2 Tues 0900-1730, Wed 0900-1730, Saturday 0900-1300.
- Hours are set at an average of 22.25 hours per week.
- Additional hours available to cover holidays and staff absences
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in retail or another customer-facing role
- A flexible approach to working hours and rota requirements
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude and a proactive mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to complete accredited pharmacy training
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or related field
- Completion of NPA Interact Course or equivalent
- Ability to speak Welsh
