The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Administrator - Additional Learning Support (ALS) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by providing high-quality administrative support to our Additional Learning Support service.
Working closely with ALS professionals, curriculum staff, learners, parents/carers and external agencies, you will coordinate key processes including EHCP administration, learner support documentation, funding evidence, data reporting and stakeholder communications.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative experience, excellent IT skills and the ability to manage a varied workload whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality. Experience within an education, SEND or learner support environment would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Additional Learning Support team, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of support services for learners with SEND.
- Coordinate and administer Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes, including annual reviews, meetings, documentation and the monitoring of statutory deadlines.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and compliant learner records, support plans and associated documentation in line with GDPR, College procedures and funding requirements.
- Support the collection, organisation and maintenance of evidence required for ALS funding claims, audits and compliance activities.
- Act as a key point of contact for learners, parents/carers, curriculum staff, Local Authorities and external agencies, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain ALS databases and management information systems, producing reports and supporting data accuracy, quality assurance and service performance monitoring.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, reviews and appointments, preparing documentation and ensuring the smooth administration of ALS processes and learner support provision.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience working in a busy administrative environment with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database management systems.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information, with a sound understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, parents/carers, staff and external agencies.
- Experience of maintaining and producing accurate data, reports and management information to support operational and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of SEND, Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and learner support processes within an educational setting (desirable).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.
