Wood / Timber Machinist
This role is for a skilled wood machinist to work with our joinery team as part of the construction of our high-end Shepherd Huts, take a look at what we do at www.blackdownshepherdhuts.co.uk.
The work is interesting, different and bespoke. We make as much as possible from scratch here at our workshop so we can maintain the highest quality and create our surprising and amazing spaces.
The role will involve working closely with the joinery team to select and prep timber. You will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our wood working machines in our well-equipped joinery shop. Machines used include 4-sided planer, re-sawing, spindle moulder etc and the opportunity to train on a 5-axis CNC. An element of our machines are job specific to avoid constant setting up and breaking down of machines.

Full Time Permanent Position
£15-£17 per hour depending on experience for a 40-hour week and time and a half for overtime. Early finish on Friday. Pension & 28 days paid holiday.
