Job Summary:
We are seeking a Hoist Service Engineer to join our Hoist division. The main responsibilities will be carrying out thorough examinations and inspections, servicing, repairs, and maintaining our fleet of Hoist rental equipment across the UK to ensure smooth operation of the division.
Duties:
· Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of hoists & transport platforms.
· Using technical drawings to base out and position new hoist locations via BFT HIAB transport or site crane on a national basis.
· To complete pre delivery inspections of hoist deliveries prior to leaving the yard to ensure all equipment & components are correct and working.
· Completing preventative maintenance and field modifications, mechanical and electrical.
· Managing repair parts and consumables availability on vehicle.
· Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as service documentation and breakdown attendance sheets in a timely manner.
· Maintaining daily communications with the office to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
· Maintaining tools and test equipment.
· Ensure safe working practices are followed in all areas and be an ardent champion of safety in line with both the Company and legal requirements.
o Ensure compliance with current company Health & Safety policies and procedures including SHEQ Responsibility Statements.
o Ensure proper reporting & recording of all accidents and any near miss occurrences.
o Ensure that all required PPE is worn and is fit for purpose - report any concerns immediately to National Hoist Supervisor
· Utilising the escalation process to resolve Hoist service issues.
· Ensure effective communications at all levels.
· Engaging and liaising with the National Hoist Supervisor to find solutions to possible on-site problems.
· Willing to help others and use own initiative to complete tasks within H & S guidelines.
· The ability to lift and carry a toolbox and test weights that can weigh up to 25 kg.
· Any other duties commensurate with the role.
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety
Minimum Experience Required:
· Relevant experience within the Hoist industry
· Experience in fault finding/diagnostics

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
