National Role
1st Specialist Services is seeking experienced and reliable Passive Fire Protection Operatives to support our expanding workload across mainland UK. We are looking for skilled Intumescent Sprayers and Firestopping Installers who can deliver high‑quality work on a wide range of projects, from small works to large‑scale schemes.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering specialist passive fire protection installations, including:
- Application of intumescent coatings to structural steel
- Operation and maintenance of airless spray units
- Accurate use of DFT readers and adherence to manufacturer specifications
- Installation of firestopping systems and penetration seals
- Cavity barrier installation
- Structural fire‑resistant boarding and encasement
Work is carried out nationwide, operating from our Midlands‑based facility.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of tested systems, compliance, and quality standards
- Competent with airless spray equipment and DFT measurement
- Experience with barriers, compound, and boarding systems
- Valid CSCS card
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Must be a UK resident
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of workmanship
· Proven experience in intumescent spraying and/or firestopping installation
