The Role
This is a hands-on, varied technician role covering everything from routine servicing right through to complex diagnostics and mechanical repairs. No two days are the same, and that's exactly how we like it. You'll be:
- Carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs to the highest standard
- Working across a wide variety of vehicle makes and models
- Using the latest diagnostic equipment to identify, investigate, and resolve faults
- Performing brake, clutch, suspension, steering, and electrical system repairs
- Completing thorough vehicle health checks and communicating findings clearly
- Identifying additional work and advising customers professionally and honestly
- Working efficiently to meet workshop targets — without ever cutting corners
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members when needed
- Keeping your workspace clean, safe, and organised at all times
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair — or time-served equivalent
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician in a professional garage environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across a range of vehicles
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- A positive, professional attitude with a genuine passion for the automotive trade
- Great communication skills — you'll interact with customers and the wider team
- A team player who can also work independently and manage their own workload
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- Experience with dealer-level diagnostic software is an advantage but not essential
