Basic qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, or Paramedic Practitioner
- A prescriber
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and critical thinking skills.

- A willing and supportive team player, keen to embed as a critical clinical member of our practice team.
- A keenness to contribute towards the ongoing and continued quality improvement of services while supporting business and staff development and sustainability.
- A self-motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously.

- Experience in General Practice is essential.
- Experience in chronic disease management.
- The successful applicant to hold an MSc or BSc Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice qualification and hold the Independent non-medical prescribing qualification.

About us
Due to our growing list size, Violet Lane Medical Practice is seeking to recruit a qualified advanced nurse practitioner (prescriber) to join our motivated, friendly and supportive GP Practice. The successful candidate will be confident in independently managing acute cases of minor illnesses arising from the clinical triage system. Seeing and reviewing patients with long-term conditions. Willing to take part as a senior nursing colleague in leading, motivating, and training staff and students. Supporting the triage and care navigation of patients as well as providing care to patients face to face, over the telephone and sometimes in their own homes.
An organised and well-established practice at the heartland of its community in South Croydon, Violet Lane Medical Practice has been a mainstay with a stable patient list size of 11,000. With the addition of two motivated GP partners earlier this year alongside our experienced partner of 25 years, this forward-thinking practice is looking to develop and innovate to ensure high quality patient care is maintained and health inequalities are tackled. Having recently registered as a training practice we now consist of 3 partners and 4 salaried GP’s in addition to 2 nurses, GP trainees, medical students and ARRS staff. Staff are hard-working whilst also maintaining a positive and supportive environment to work within our modern premises. Our recent staff survey show that our staff would recommend working here.
Salary is highly competitive and dependent on experience.
