Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining, repairing, and installing air conditioning systems. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning units across multiple sites, ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and repairs.
- Lead maintenance teams during complex projects, providing guidance and technical expertise.
- Troubleshoot system faults promptly, diagnosing issues accurately to minimise downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment, identifying potential problems before they escalate.
- Perform equipment repairs or replacements as necessary, adhering to safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assist with construction or refurbishment projects involving HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with building regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and repair within commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings effectively.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience supervising or guiding maintenance teams or contractors.
- Knowledge of equipment repair techniques specific to HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to HVAC installation or upgrades is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or HVAC technology are preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial practical experience.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality assurance.
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
