Summary
We are looking for a Level 2 qualified swimming teacher to join our team at our Feltonfleet venue in Cobham, teaching school-age children in small-group lessons.
Hours (term time):
Monday: 4-6pm
Friday: 4-6pm
This is a self-employed contract role, and we are happy to hear from teachers who are available for either one or both days.
The role is available from September 2026.

GoggleSquad was founded by former Great Britain synchronised swimmer Nicola Ayers to provide high-quality swimming lessons in an environment designed to help swimmers build confidence and progress quickly.
Since launching in 2020, we have grown significantly while remaining focused on excellent teaching, small-group lessons and providing a great experience for swimmers and their families. We are proud to have received hundreds of positive reviews from parents and adult swimmers.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons in line with the Swim England framework
- Maintain a safe, positive and engaging swimming environment
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual swimmers
- Monitor swimmer progress and adjust teaching accordingly
- Provide constructive feedback to swimmers and parents
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress
- Communicate clearly with our Swim Lesson Manager
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and swimmer progress
Qualifications, experience and skills:
- Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willing to allow us to obtain one)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with children of different ages and abilities
- At least 3 years’ recent swimming teaching experience
- Current First Aid/CPR qualification
- Lifeguarding or water-safety qualification
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £30.00-£35.00 per hour
