Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children in their early years. You will play a vital role in fostering children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of children aged 0-2 years.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning.
- Manage daily activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.
- Lead group activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and exploration.
- Maintain accurate electronic records of children's development and attendance.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
- Drive initiatives that promote the nursery's ethos and values within the community.
- Work in line with policies and procedures.
- Work as part of a team
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in Early Years/Childcare or equivalent is essential.
- Previous experience working with children from birth to two years is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, demonstrating a drive for continuous professional development.
- The successful applicant will join a well-qualified team of staff and will participate in planning, teaching and ensuring that the EYFS , knowledge and experience underpins all our work.
Salary is £26, 436 per year (for full time applicants). Salary is negotiable dependent on experience.
