We are seeking a spiritually mature, committed and dynamic Minister of Religion to join our ministry. The successful candidate will help lead and shepherd the congregation, support the spiritual development of members, and contribute to the church’s worship, pastoral care, outreach and wider ministry. We welcome applicants who demonstrate a genuine calling to Christian ministry, sound biblical understanding and a passion for serving people.
Responsibilities
- Preach and teach the Christian faith through sermons, Bible studies and other ministry activities.
- Lead and assist with worship services, prayer meetings, special programmes and other church events.
- Provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance, prayer and appropriate counselling to individuals and families.
- Support the spiritual growth and discipleship of church members.
- Conduct or assist with religious ceremonies and pastoral duties as required.
- Visit and support members who are sick, bereaved, vulnerable or experiencing difficult circumstances.
- Work with church leadership in planning ministry programmes, evangelism and community outreach.
- Mentor church workers, volunteers and emerging ministry leaders.
- Promote Christian values, unity, compassion and service within the congregation and wider community.
- Maintain appropriate pastoral records and confidentiality where required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrable experience in Christian ministry, pastoral work or church leadership.
- Sound knowledge of the Bible and Christian doctrine.
- Strong preaching, teaching, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate and responsible pastoral support.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a ministry team.
- Good character, integrity and a clear commitment to Christian ministry.
- Relevant theological or ministry training is desirable.
