As a club teacher, you'll deliver a fun, engaging, and well-structured cooking session each week to children at your assigned school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a structured, age-appropriate cooking session each week following World of Performing's scheme of work for Cooking Club
- Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where children feel confident to take part, including safe use of kitchen equipment appropriate to their age
- Follow all safeguarding procedures at all times, including registering attendance, supervising children throughout the session, and reporting any concerns promptly through the correct channels
- Follow food hygiene and allergen awareness procedures at all times, checking for allergies before each session
- Manage behaviour positively and consistently, in line with school and company policy
- Set up and pack away cooking equipment/ingredients/resources
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and the World of Performing team
- Keep up to date with safeguarding, food hygiene, and company policy training
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in a teaching, coaching, or cooking/catering setting
- A genuine passion for cooking and food, and enjoyment sharing that with children
- A strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness, or willingness to complete training
- A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, or willingness to complete training
- Reliable, punctual, and confident managing a group of children independently
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- First Aid certificate desirable, or willingness to complete training
