Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort and wellbeing are maintained at all times
- Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, grooming, dressing and toileting where required
- Support residents with mobility and encourage independence wherever possible
- Engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities to promote social interaction, wellbeing and a positive daily routine
- Assist residents during mealtimes where required, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Support with light housekeeping duties, including tidying rooms and helping to maintain a clean, safe and homely environment
- Observe, monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behaviour to the senior member of staff on duty
- Work as part of the team to ensure high standards of care and safety are maintained
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential as training can be provided
- A compassionate, patient and caring nature
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, professional and committed to providing high quality care
