Experienced Dog Groomer – Full Time & Part Time

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming dogs into their best selves through professional grooming services. Your enthusiasm for working with animals, combined with your skillful grooming techniques, will ensure every client leaves happy, healthy, and looking fantastic.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each dog’s coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing care or treatments when necessary
- Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring a stress-free experience during grooming sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide advice on animal care and maintenance
- Assist in managing appointment schedules to ensure timely service delivery
- Support team members with animal care tasks such as loading heavy grooming equipment or assisting with larger breeds requiring extra handling
Skills
- Proven experience in dog grooming or related animal care fields, with a strong understanding of breed-specific grooming styles
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort for pets during grooming
- Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their needs confidently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move large or heavy dogs safely
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or veterinary experience is a plus for recognizing health issues during grooming sessions
- Strong attention to detail to deliver precise cuts and maintain high-quality standards in grooming services
- Handstripping experience would be a bonus!
