£43,402 - £52,247 per annum, pro rata

We are seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technician to join our team and support the delivery and development of our automotive programmes.
The role offers an opportunity to combine your industry experience and technical expertise with teaching and learning, delivering both theoretical and practical instruction to our students. UHI Perth has well-equipped automotive facilities, providing a high-quality learning environment with dedicated classrooms, workshops and industry-standard equipment.
You will contribute to the preparation and delivery of learning, teaching and assessment; supervise practical activities and student projects; support learner development; and contribute to the ongoing development of our successful motor vehicle programmes.
Candidates should, as a minimum, hold a recognised time-served apprenticeship qualification, such as SVQ Level 3, Full-Tech, SCQF Level 7, or an equivalent qualification in the relevant trade area. You will also have practical industrial experience within the automotive sector and be familiar with the techniques and processes used in the repair of modern vehicles.
In addition, you should be a well-motivated self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
