About the Commercial Analyst role:
As our Commercial Analyst, you’ll work in a central strategic role focusing on major accounts, delivering on cost saving initiatives and making contracts more profitable.
This is a procurement focused role where you will review accounts, conduct product analysis and use that information to make the right commercial decisions.
You’ll be doing things like agreeing pricing strategies, conducting research to ensure we are selling at the correct price and establishing who we are buying from. You’ll consider volume levels, fluctuations, supplier performance and group wide agreements in your negotiations.
You’ll need to be confident in front of suppliers and have the ability to build great relationships.
Advanced excel skills are required for this role with the ability to use data to inform decision making. Internal system knowledge is a massive bonus as well as Power BI experience.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
This is a site-based role in Oldbury.
What we're looking for in our Commercial Analyst:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an analytical mindset.
- Exceptional organisational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite particularly excel.
- Strong Strategic acumen to understand pricing strategies
- A degree is not a pre-requisite for this role. Passion and commitment are.
- Excellent charisma and strong influencing skills.
- Ability to overcome objections and a good negotiator
