Job purpose: To co-ordinate and support shop floor activities for the manufacture of subsea components.
Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)
- Co-ordinate released production orders from stores to the shopfloor.
- Locate and track kits before and during project builds, then close out remaining actions.
- Take responsibility for signing for kits from stores, updating the tracker and highlight any issues.
- Take responsibility for signing for shortages from stores, updating the tracker and highlight any issues.
- Deal with day-to-day requests from the lead hands and technicians using Business Central ERP system.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure sub-assemblies and products are ready in a timely manner.
- Expedite parts through the business.
- Output and issue job cards in a timely manner.
- Report any issues back to the production manager in a timely manner.
- Co-ordinate with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Build product knowledge quickly through understanding of the product with in-house training.
- Capable of working with limited supervision.
- Ensure good organisation and housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities: (Deliverables)
- Sign and take responsibility for kits and shortages from stores, checking they are correct, as expected and locate accordingly.
- Keep the kits location and shortage trackers up to date.
- Deal with day-to-day requests and requirements from lead hands and technicians.
- Output and issue job cards in a timely manner.
Education/Qualifications:
- Secondary education
- Mechanical background (desirable)
Technical Competencies (essential):
- Technical knowledge
- Good eye for detail
- Competent in the use of Microsoft packages, specifically Excel
- Experience of Microsoft Navision (Business Central) or similar ERP/MRP system
Key Skills (essential):
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Organised, motivated and willing to learn on the job
- Ability to work under pressure
Experience (essential):
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous technical experience (desirable)
