We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Bar Manager to join our team at The Barn at Pengarreg in Llanrhystud. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring that all staff adhere to food safety standards and provide exceptional hospitality.
Full Time / Seasonal Hours (The Barn is open from March 1st to December 31st)
Candidate must be flexible in regards to working hours as opening days/times vary greatly throughout the year.
Salary £28,000 per annum + bonus opportunity
Your duties:
- Responsible for the day to day operations of the bar
- Monitor inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock is maintained and track stock levels
- Ensure adequate stock is purchased
- Ensure cleanliness of bar and staff, paying special attention to possible health hazards and code violations.
- Ensuring that the cellar is kept to a high standard and beer lines are cleaned frequently
- Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting
- Keep customers happy and maintain a good reputation for the establishment
- Handle any customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure proper cash management
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Conduct frequent stock analysis
- Responsible for hiring of bar staff (if required)
- Determine staff rota/schedule during busy periods
- Appropriately delegate tasks to staff
- Oversee staff to ensure they are carrying out their duties correctly
