Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care.
- Follow colour schemes and technical specifications accurately to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised during and after completion of tasks.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or ladders as needed for access to high or difficult-to-reach areas.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project progress or any issues encountered.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is desirable.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Excellent communication skills in English to understand instructions clearly and liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team environment.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks over extended periods, including working at heights when necessary.
