Better Learning Hub is an exciting new tuition service, launched through a collaboration between two successful, established tuition providers. Bringing together the expertise, experience and passion of our founding partners, we are creating something genuinely different for students and families across Hounslow and beyond.
Two of our founding partners are qualified, experienced and expert teachers, bringing extensive classroom and curriculum expertise to the organisation. Alongside them, our remaining partners have many years of experience supporting, mentoring and tutoring hundreds of students throughout their academic journeys.
Together, we have combined our experience to develop a tuition service built around one simple principle: there is a better way to learn.
A Different Approach to Tuition
Our curriculum has been designed entirely in-house, specifically for tuition provision. Rather than simply replicating what students experience in school, our programmes are carefully structured to identify gaps, build secure understanding and develop confidence.
Our unique curriculum incorporates regular tutor checkpoints, allowing tutors to monitor progress and identify areas requiring further support or development.
Every student begins with an initial assessment, enabling us to create an individual learning pathway based on their current attainment, strengths and areas for development. This means that students are not simply placed into a generic programme based on their school year group — their learning is tailored to them.
We also believe that stretch and challenge should be a natural part of learning. Our curriculum is designed so that students can progress beyond their expected year-group content when they are ready, allowing ambitious learners to continually develop and challenge themselves.

The Role
We are looking for passionate, capable and ambitious tutors to join the Better Learning Hub team across Maths, English and Science, supporting students from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 5.
We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds and at different stages of their educational careers. Whether you are an experienced teacher, an established private tutor, currently undertaking teacher training, a recent high-achieving graduate, or an experienced tutor looking to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
We are recruiting across three levels of tutor:
- Junior Tutor – ideal for those with strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for working with students, who may be earlier in their tutoring or teaching journey.
- Senior Tutor – suited to tutors with greater experience, established teaching/tutoring ability and a strong track record of supporting students. This role would be particularly well suited to individuals currently undertaking a Teacher Training programme.
- Expert Tutor – aimed at highly experienced educators and subject specialists with extensive teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience and the ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for students.
Your level will ultimately be determined through our recruitment process, based on your experience, subject knowledge, teaching ability and suitability for the role. When applying, please indicate which level you are primarily seeking – Junior, Senior or Expert Tutor – and briefly explain why you feel you are suited to that level.
Subjects & Age Groups
We are particularly interested in recruiting tutors who can support students across a range of ages and abilities in:
Maths | English | Science
We are recruiting across KS1–KS5, so experience working with different age groups is highly valued. We welcome applications from tutors who specialise in a particular Key Stage as well as those who are comfortable working across multiple age ranges.
11+ tutoring experience is advantageous but not essential. Similarly, applicants currently working towards QTS are particularly encouraged to apply.
We are especially keen to hear from STEM specialists who are confident teaching across more than one subject. For example, applicants with strong Maths and Science backgrounds, or those able to support students across multiple STEM disciplines, are particularly welcome.
What We Are Looking For
Academic success is an important prerequisite for all of our tutoring roles. However, we are equally interested in your ability to communicate clearly, build positive relationships with students and inspire them to make progress.
Above all, we are looking for tutors who are:
- Academically strong and confident in their subject knowledge
- Passionate about education and supporting students
- Able to explain challenging concepts clearly and effectively
- Adaptable and comfortable working with students of different abilities
- Ambitious for their students and committed to high standards
- Reliable, professional and enthusiastic
- Keen to develop their own teaching practice
- Comfortable working within a structured, purpose-built tuition curriculum
