The Opportunity
As the firm's lead communications specialist, you will ensure clear, consistent and impactful communications across all internal and external channels. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, Business Development team and Partners, you will lead PR, media relations, thought leadership, social media, internal communications and brand content to raise the firm's profile and strengthen its reputation.
As a fast-growing regional law firm, we are looking for an experienced communications professional who can work confidently with senior stakeholders, identify opportunities to showcase the firm's expertise, and help shape the communications function as the business continues to grow.
What You'll Be Doing:
Strategic Communications

Lead the firm's internal and external communications, ensuring activity aligns with business strategy and commercial objectives.

Act as the firm's communications expert, advising on messaging, tone and content quality.

Manage the communications and editorial calendar, identifying opportunities to raise the firm's profile.
PR, Thought Leadership & Brand

Drive thought leadership and PR activity, building relationships with media, PR partners and key stakeholders.

Develop and refine content across digital, print and web, ensuring it strengthens the firm's reputation and market position.

Identify opportunities to promote the firm's expertise through media, awards and industry commentary.
Digital & Internal Communications

Own the firm's social media presence and oversee engaging internal communications, including the intranet.

Ensure communications are timely, consistent and aligned with the firm's brand.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Build strong relationships with Partners and stakeholders, proactively identifying communications opportunities.

Support strategic business projects and help shape the future of the communications function as the firm grows.

Drive high standards, taking ownership of quality and continuously improving communications processes and content.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a confident, proactive communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment and enjoys building something as a business grows.
You'll bring:

Proven experience in communications, PR or marketing within professional services (legal experience is a real advantage).

Strong media relations, thought leadership and content creation expertise, with exceptional writing and editing skills.

Experience managing social media, communications campaigns and brand messaging.

Confidence working with senior stakeholders, influencing, challenging and building trusted relationships.

Commercial awareness, excellent organisation and the ability to take ownership with minimal supervision.
Desirable
-
Experience within a law firm or legal sector.

Knowledge of intranet platforms and internal communications.

Experience supporting reputation management or crisis communications.
