Job Overview
We are looking for a practical, versatile plant hire delivery driver & site support worker to join our team for this self employed role. Based in Swindon, we operate a lot of the South West.
This is a hands on role that goes beyond standard driving. Alongside delivering and collecting plant machinery and building materials to sites, you will assist construction teams on-site by unloading supplies and providing general physical support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant and Material Logistics - Transport, load, secure and unload plant machinery and construction materials safely.
- On-site construction support - Provide general hands-on support to site personnel, including assisting with material movement, basic site set-up and manual labour as required.
- Customer handovers - Complete operational checks and handovers with clients upon delivering equipment.
- Vehicle & safety compliance - Ensure loads are correctly loaded, strapped and are within weight limits.
- Site returns & inspection - Check returned machinery and materials for damage, cleanliness and fuel levels before transport to the yard.
- Yard maintenance - Making sure the yard is kept in order, materials stored correctly and plant is kept clean.
What we are looking for
- Licence requirements - Valid B+E driving licence minimum, with a clean record.
- Practical ability - Towing experience essential.
- Work ethic - Physical fitness, reliability, a can-do attitude and a clear commitment to time keeping and task management.
Pay: From £130.00 per day
