Ecommerce warehouse operative – full training provided
Salary: £12.88 per hour
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week available
Location: Wicken, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB7 5XH
Permanent role - both full-time and part-time positions are available.
Job summary:
We are looking for an Ecommerce Warehouse Operative to join our small team processing customer orders, manufacturing made-to-order products and ensuring orders are dispatched accurately and on time. This is a varied role with opportunities to take responsibility for your own workload and opportunities for involvement in various areas of business, ideally suited to a driven and self-motivated applicant.
This role includes: general warehousing duties including use of lifting equipment; the fulfilment of orders from the company’s websites and marketplaces; responding to customer requests by email and phone; and operating production equipment to manufacture made-to-order products.
A successful candidate will take responsibility for: processing orders in preparation for dispatch; proactively planning and prioritising their workload to meet daily deadlines; and maintaining an efficient and tidy working environment.
Accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail are essential to succeed in this role. The role can be physically demanding with some heavy lifting required. Training is provided and previous warehousing or manufacturing experience is not required.
The business is based in a rural location with no public transport nearby, so reliable transport is essential.

Job duties include:
- Efficiently and accurately processing orders for dispatch
- Assisting with customer enquiries by email and phone
- Operating and maintaining machines to manufacture made-to-order products

- Achieving team productivity and quality targets
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the warehouse
