Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our nursery setting. This role requires a passion for early childhood education and the ability to support children's developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare are maintained, fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff alike.
Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times.
- Support children's emotional well-being by offering comfort, reassurance, and encouragement.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines in accordance with nursery policies.
- Foster positive behaviour management strategies to promote respectful interactions among children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all children and families.
- Uphold nursery policies and procedures relating to child protection, health & safety, and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in nursery care.
- Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning while ensuring safety at all times.
- A caring attitude combined with patience, creativity, and organisational skills.
