Crowborough Beacon Golf Club is one of Sussex's leading golf clubs, renowned for its exceptional course, welcoming atmosphere and high-quality hospitality.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Catering & Hospitality Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role working across both our busy clubhouse and our brand-new Halfway House.
We're seeking someone who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service and is confident preparing simple, freshly made food such as breakfast items, hot sandwiches and light meals. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently to operate the Halfway House, while also supporting our clubhouse with food and beverage service, events and daily operations.

Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to members, guests and visitors.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including barista-style coffees.
- Prepare simple, freshly made food including breakfast items, sandwiches, baguettes and light meals.
- Confidently operate the Halfway House independently during shifts.
- Operate the till and process cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Complete food safety records, temperature checks and daily cleaning schedules.
- Replenish stock and ensure products are attractively displayed.
- Open and close the Halfway House and clubhouse when required.
- Support clubhouse food and beverage service, functions and events.
- Work closely with the kitchen and hospitality teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in hospitality, cafés, restaurants or food service.
- Enjoys interacting with customers and delivering exceptional service.
- Is confident preparing simple fresh food to a high standard.
- Can work independently and take responsibility for running the Halfway House.
- Has a good understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices.
- Holds a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (or is willing to obtain one).
- Is organised, reliable and able to work under pressure.
- Has excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Is flexible to work weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings as part of a rota.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
