Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Officer to safeguard our premises, assets, and personnel. Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and ensure the safety of the premises
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Implement loss prevention measures by observing and reporting potential security breaches or thefts
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate actions including contacting emergency services if necessary
- Maintain detailed records of security activities, incident reports, and surveillance logs
- Assist visitors and staff by verifying identities and providing directions or assistance as needed
- Administer first aid in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives
Requirements
- Proven experience or training in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security technology tools
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining focus on surroundings
- Strong communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
- Certification or knowledge in first aid and emergency response procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security certifications are a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, or holidays as required
