We are seeking candidates who are looking for a long-term career development with a growing and successful business, this opportunity would be suited to candidates with previous experience in an administration role ideally within a purchasing team.
Overview of the Role:
Are you looking to start your career within a growing fast-paced industry, if so this opportunity may be the one for you! Working as part of the Purchasing Team, reporting to the Purchase Manager you will carry out activities involved with procuring goods, including raising purchase orders, monitoring order progress, obtaining quotations and negotiating with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Raise and issue purchase orders, ensuring all purchase orders are acknowledged and administrated correctly.
· Work with internal departments on delivery planning and achieving on time deliveries
· Monitor open orders and expedite as required using existing reports, ensuring all delivery dates are accurate and orders are delivered on time, in full
· Identify any issues around missing or back-ordered products.
· Manage changes in delivery dates, prices, shortages or over deliveries and quality issues and report these in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders within the business.
· Work closely with all members of the procurement team to negotiate cost prices with suppliers to achieve required margins
· Issue requests for quotation and select best source of supply consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements.
· Liaise with internal departments to make sure customer requirements are met
Key Competencies, Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
Preferred
· Previous experience as part of a supply chain/procurement team.
· Experience of production planning

· Strong administration skills
· Have the ability to prioritise your own workload, with attention to detail and able to multitask
· Willingness to learn
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Good Understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel / Word)
· Confident in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
· Strong organisational skills
· Ability to understand and work to deadlines
· Must have a can-do attitude and able to work under own initiative
