Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness. Start time: 16:30
Shift length: 2 hours 30 minutes
Shifts: Monday-Friday term time, with the opportunity for overtime in the summer helping with the periodic clean.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms, kitchens, and other communal spaces
- Ensure all surfaces are free from dust, dirt, and stains using appropriate cleaning agents
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any faults or damages promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Adhere to organisational standards for cleanliness and presentation
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and independently
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work within health and safety guidelines at all times
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods
This position is suitable for individuals who take pride in maintaining clean environments and are committed to delivering excellent service. Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning roles will be considered an advantage.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
