Following the recent OFSTED inspection where the Nursery achieved ‘Expected Standard’ they are recruiting for an Assistant/Deputy Manager. This newly implemented role is an opportunity to lead the day-to-day running of the nursery and work closely with the Early Years Nursery manager at an exciting time of growth. About the role:
As the Assistant Manager, you will:
- Support the Nursery Manager in leading, motivating, and developing nursery staff to deliver outstanding care and education.
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding requirements.
- Assist with the effective management of nursery resources, occupancy, and budgets.
- Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and the local community.
- Support staff development, supervision, and training.
- Help drive continuous improvement across the nursery setting.
- Maintain a safe, calm, and well-organised environment for all children.
What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years/Childcare
- Proven leadership in an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
- Excellent organisational, communication and people management skills
- A proactive, approachable leadership style and passion for high-quality care
