Gamstop Group Ltd is an independent not-for-profit organisation focused on helping people control their gambling and supporting the industry to protect customers from harm. We deliver three services - Gamstop Online, Gamstop Betting Shops, and GamProtect.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst to turn data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the business. You will analyse trends, build reports, and work closely with stakeholders to improve performance and inform strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and prepare data using SQL and other tools
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and key drivers
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI)
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency
- Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide insights
- Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Support experiments and A/B testing, including analysing results
- Monitor data quality and resolve inconsistencies
- Document data definitions and ensure best practice usage
- Assist with ad hoc and deep-dive analysis to answer business questions
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with data visualisation tools
- Advanced Excel / spreadsheet skills
- Basic knowledge of Python or R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to communicate insights to non-technical audiences
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics or a related field
- Understanding of data engineering concepts (e.g. AWS, Git)
- Awareness of the gambling or regulated sector
