Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Senior Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support dentists during procedures, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, offering reassurance and guidance
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, recall systems, and stock management
- Ensure the clinical environment adheres to infection control protocols and health regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing exceptional patient care
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar role within a healthcare setting
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management and record keeping
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills to support colleagues and ensure seamless clinic operations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally
