Job Summary
We are a Group of Nurseries, established over 20 years and we are looking for a motivated/detail orientated Housekeeper - Kitchen Assistant to join our Nursery Team at our Kingston Branch.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and nursery areas. In addition preparing and serving breakfast and snack to the children in our care and serving lunch and tea to the children in our care. This role is essential to the operational effectiveness of the Nursery so we are looking for someone who can support us with the above.

Main Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen surfaces, appliances, utensils, and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks for the children in our care and serving food taking into account advised allergies/preferences of the children.
- Submit food orders/supplies for the nursery with updated regular stock checks.
- Monitor cleanliness of common areas, including hallways, restrooms, and guest spaces, adhering to health regulations
- Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment to prevent accidents or contamination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- On occasion covering in the childcare rooms if required.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safety regulations in hospitality settings
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and bending frequently
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Pay: £12.75-£13.75 per hour
