Thrive + Wild is a family leisure venue in Winchester, with soft play, a café, treatment rooms, studios and The Den, and we're looking for an experienced Café Supervisor to help keep our shifts running smoothly and our weekends buzzing.
This is a hands-on, floor-based role. You'll lead by example across the café, soft play and reception, keep the team on top of checklists, and be the calm, organised presence that keeps a busy shift on track. A big part of the role is our weekend parties: setting up, hosting and running them to brief, then resetting ready for the next booking. You'll report to the General Manager and help guide and support the wider team on shift.
What you'll be doing
- Leading shifts on the floor and supporting the team to deliver our Smile, Serve, Satisfy standard.
- Making and serving excellent coffee and café food to a consistent standard.
- Setting up, hosting and running weekend parties and events.
- Signing off closing checks, and keeping health, safety and food safety standards on point.
- Supporting stock rotation, date labelling and keeping displays stocked and in date.
- Guiding and supporting team members, including newer starters.
What you'll need (essential)
- Previous experience as a café supervisor. This role is for someone who has supervised a café before.
- Strong barista skills and confidence on the coffee machine.
- A positive, reliable attitude and the ability to lead by example on a busy shift.
- Calm, friendly communication with guests, including hosting parties and groups.
- Good awareness of food safety and hygiene.
- Full availability across 5 days per week, including weekends and evenings.
Nice to have
- Experience hosting parties, events or children's activities.
- Experience in soft play, children's leisure or hospitality venues.
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
