We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the effective operation of our children's residential care home specialising in mild learning disabilities. and some EBD too. Based in Slough.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supervising staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a background in children's care and some experience of working with OFSTED and to Ofsted standards.
The home is rated GOOD in all areas and the children are thriving. We seek an ambitious DM who would hope to progress to becoming a Registered Manager within 12 months or so.
Offering a base salary of £40,000. Also further training is funded, with real opportunity of progression.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our therapeutic home.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans for our young people, ensuring their emotional and physical needs are met.
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of care.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes emotional resilience and independence among all.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Conduct regular assessments of young people's' progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in therapeutic care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a Children's Home setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
