The Strategic Procurement and Contracts Team enable effective procurement and contract management across a range of goods, works and services supporting the provision of council services for the people of North Lincolnshire.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Specialist to join our busy team. The role supports the effective and efficient management of third party spend by providing procurement and contracts advice, supporting council-wide projects, whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, procedures, and contractual arrangements.
The successful candidate will support the team to achieve excellence in procurement and contracts advice ensuring value for taxpayers' money, following best practice, and maintaining professional standards.
Demonstrating a commitment to improving outcomes and passionate about delivering value for money services to meet the needs of North Lincolnshire residents. You must be a team player, able to build relationships with colleagues across council enabling the review, development, and delivery of identified procurement needs. Solutions focused, with a can-do attitude, you will have the ability to build the expertise and technical skills to support effective procurement, contract management, and social value delivery across the organisation and wider.
We welcome applications from individuals committed to developing and promoting innovative ways of working to achieve best practice in procurement and contract activities. The ideal candidate will be Level 3 Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualified or willing to work towards on an apprenticeship scheme to further their professional experience.
