Hours of Work: Full time 38 hours per week Mon - Thur 7:30>4:00, Friday 7:30 > 2:00
Salary £12.75 - £15.00 (dependent on experience)
Overview
Based in Ferrybridge, Pontefract we are one of the leading manufactures of bespoke timber garden sheds and timber buildings.
We are looking for production operatives/Bench Joiners to join our busy team.
This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of woodworking skills, experience in working with a variety of power tools and a commitment to working to a high standard of quality..
Key Responsibilities include:
- Work as part of the manufacturing team producing and assembling garden building parts.
- Working with timber, Hand and Power tools and manufacturing equipment
- Follow verbal and written instructions following drawings and specifications.
- Preparing products ready for dispatch.
- Contribute to quality, safety and the continuous improvement
About you:
- Reliable and hardworking individual
- With a positive proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Physically fit with the ability to move heavy components.
- Strong woodworking background essential, prior experience preferred.
- Highly organised with a high level of accuracy and strong detail to attention
- Confident and proactive able to think on their feet, and able to use own initiative, to ensure projects are completed on time
- With excellent communication skills.
- Flexible and Willing to learn and able to manage a varied workload, adapting as priorities change
- Happy to work as part of a small team and occasionally working alone.
