Come and join the family at the Wisteria Hotel, proudly rated No.1 on TripAdvisor in Rutland. We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our friendly kitchen team, with flexible hours available to suit the right candidate.
This role is ideal for a chef seeking variety and flexibility, with shifts covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including the availability to work split shifts when required. Live-in accommodation is available in the on site furnished staff flat for the right applicant (subject to a DBS check).
Please note: Applicants must be willing to complete a working trial as part of the recruitment process. Only candidates with the legal right to work in the UK will be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you’ll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen, delivering consistently high-quality food and helping create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to a high standard, following recipes and presentation guidelines
- Support the management of kitchen operations during service
- Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards at all times
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and timely service
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste
- Contribute ideas for menu development and improvements

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
