Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Class 2 truck, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery operations will contribute to maintaining our high standards of service and safety. Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV truck.
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely drop-offs at multiple customer sites or distribution centers
- Secure loads properly on flatbed trucks, ensuring they are stable and compliant with safety standards during transit
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and digital records for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit
- Delivering alcohol. Heavy handball.
- Multi Drop - up to 15 drops.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with delivery operations involving flatbed trucks
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, transportation laws, and best practices for cargo securement
- Delivery driver experience with excellent time management skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading and securing cargo on flatbeds
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude toward customer service
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or weekends if required
