We are looking for a caring, professional individual to join our incredible staff team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within drug and alcohol services, or in similar fields such as offender services, mental health, or homelessness charities.
Kenward Trust at Yalding provides primary-stage residential treatment for residents experiencing difficulties as a result of drug and alcohol misuse. We are proud to work within a trauma-informed, person-centred approach, incorporating the 12 Step Programme, SMART Recovery, and the Recovery Model. These interventions are led by a Consultant Addictions Psychiatrist.
We are looking to recruit an individual who can contribute effectively to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a positive difference and empowering our residents to transform their lives.
As a Keyworker, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of residents. Please note that Keyworkers do not deliver therapeutic interventions; this is the role of the therapeutic staff.
- Ensuring residents’ daily living requirements and treatment needs are met.
- Managing a personal caseload of residents and supporting their active engagement with their recovery programme.
This is a permanent, 37.5-hour-per-week role.
The role is based on an 8-week rolling rota, working 3 x 12.5-hour shifts, Monday to Sunday inclusive.
Shifts start at 7.45am and finish at 8.15pm.
The Keyworker role is demanding but highly rewarding. Candidates must be able to work well under pressure, think quickly, and use their own initiative. We are looking for strong team players who can build positive relationships and embrace diversity.
