This is not your average kitchen job
We are searching for a full time kitchen team member to join us at CURBSIDE.
These are almost all Monday to Friday hours and will be 7–8 hour shifts between the hours of 6:30am and 4:30pm (40 hours).
Whilst most shifts will be weekdays there will be ad hoc weekends around major University events.
A bit about CURBSIDE..
CURBSIDE is built on three fundamental principles quality, convenience, and experience.
Over the past few years we've become known for serving great coffee and cake. As CURBSIDE grows, we're excited to introduce food, and we'll be taking exactly the same quality-led approach.
The role itself is about more than making sandwiches.
We're looking for someone who enjoys creating interesting flavours and takes pride in making food people genuinely look forward to. Some days that might mean developing a seasonal special or refining a recipe. Other days it might mean making an egg mayo sandwich for the hundredth time that week. Both matter equally.
As a new kitchen operation we will be developing the menu and operational procedures over time so we see this as a super exciting opportunity to learn, grow and play a major part in creating something special.
We're after someone who understands that consistency is just as important as creativity. The exciting ideas only work if every customer gets something they'd happily come back for.
We hold our values close, we have an opportunity in this industry to bring positivity to anyone's day, and through great food & drink and through positive energy we embody that principle.
We are kind, we are curious and we are present.
CURBSIDE is still early in its journey, but it is growing with a clear direction. The people who join us will be a huge part of that journey.
The role..
Prepare fresh hot and cold food consistently to a high standard
Help develop new menu ideas and seasonal specials
Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and presentable
Maintain high food hygiene and safety standards
Help manage stock and minimise waste
Who this is for..
This is a kitchen role and a minimum of 1 year commercial kitchen experience is required, with 1–2 years of hospitality experience desirable.
You don't need to have worked in a Michelin-starred kitchen, but you do need to care about quality. If you enjoy creating good food, are naturally organised, and understand that consistency is just as important as creativity, this role will suit you.
You will often be working independently, so confidence and reliability matter.
The practical bits..
Pay £13.50 per hour
Shifts 7–8 hours, primarily Monday to Friday with some weekend events throughout the year.
