Coachbuilder – Commercial Vehicles

Day Shift: £16.94 – £19.75 per hour DOE
Night Shift: £21.18 – £24.96 per hour DOE

The Opportunity
We are currently looking for experienced Coachbuilders to join a busy manufacturing operation producing high-quality commercial vehicle bodies and trailers. This role would suit candidates with previous assembly, fabrication, or vehicle body construction experience who are confident working with a variety of materials and engineering drawings.
Opportunities are available across both day and night shifts.
Shift PatternsDay Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: Early finish at 3:30pm
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Night Shift
- Monday to Thursday: 7:45pm – 6:00am
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit components to commercial vehicle bodies and trailers
- Work from engineering drawings and build specifications
- Use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Carry out drilling, cutting, riveting, grinding, and general fabrication work
- Work with materials including steel, aluminium, fibreglass, and timber products
- Ensure all work is completed to production and quality standards
- Support team productivity targets while maintaining attention to detail
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and safe
- Follow all health & safety procedures and workshop standards
About You
We are looking for practical, reliable individuals who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in producing quality finished products.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous experience within vehicle bodybuilding, trailer manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environments
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Confidence using hand tools and workshop equipment
- Good understanding of production processes and quality control
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or within a team
- Flexible approach and willingness to support wider production tasks when needed
