SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Salary: £95 - £105 Daily PAYE
Hours: Full-time (8:30am - 4pm)
Start Date: September 2026

We're working with a fantastic primary school that is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide valuable support to pupils with additional needs.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to build positive relationships with children, help them overcome challenges and celebrate their successes along the way.
The role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Help children engage with lessons and develop their confidence
- Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development
- Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to ensure every child receives the support they need
- Encourage independence and help pupils reach their individual goals
- Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children or young people
- Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN
- Is patient, understanding and approachable
- Can build strong and trusting relationships with children
- Is confident working as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Experience in a school or SEN setting is desirable, but we are also keen to hear from candidates with transferable experience.
