Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian curries and other traditional dishes with precision and consistency
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards to ensure high-quality meals
- Manage ingredient prep, including chopping, marinating, and measuring spices and herbs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in meal plating and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders to customers
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, notify management of shortages or spoilage
- Collaborate with team members to optimize kitchen workflow and uphold excellent customer service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, particularly with Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to curry preparation and spice blending
- Prior kitchen or restaurant experience demonstrating efficiency in a busy environment
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction during serving processes
