Duties
- Assist experienced groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming dogs of various sizes and breeds
- Handle dogs gently and confidently to ensure a calm grooming experience for each pet
- Support the preparation of grooming stations and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in work areas
- Learn to identify different coat types and breed-specific grooming requirements
- Help with customer interactions by providing friendly, professional service and answering basic questions about grooming procedures
- Support the team with heavy lifting tasks such as moving equipment or large dogs safely and carefully
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for pets, staff, and yourself
Qualifications
- Genuine passion for animals, especially dogs, with an eagerness to learn new skills in pet grooming and care
- Prior background in animal care is a plus but not required; enthusiasm to gain knowledge is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team and interact positively with clients
- Willingness to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety standards at all times
