About this opportunity:
An exciting opportunity to work with fantastic competition horses in a high class livery stables in Virginia Waters, Surrey. We are a high class, family run, dressage livery stables with many international clients with good quality horses, competing at all levels of dressage, with some jumping horses too. We are a small friendly team who love what we do, why not join us?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and committed individual to join our friendly team, handing and caring for our horses and clients. All horse care will be covered.
The role will include
Mucking out
Yard duties
Turning out and bringing in
Tacking up
Nutrition
Handling and care of competition horses
Assisting professionals
Assisting with clients/customer service
Grooming (including trimming and clipping)
Show prep
Exercising horses (including riding for the right candidate)
Skills and Qualities

Qualifications
Applicants who already hold a level 2 in Equine will be considered for a level 3. You MUST NOT already hold a level 3.
GCSE’s in Maths and English are advantageous

Training
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
