Role: Team Leader
Location: St Catherine's, St Helens
Salary: £33,841.82 - £36,080.73 per annum
We are looking for a committed Team Leader to join the team within Specialist Children's services (Marydale Secure Children’s Home and The Meadows). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and overseeing the daily operations of a secure residential environment for children and young people.
As a Team Leader, you will:
Provide direct line management and supervision to a small team of Childcare Workers.
Develop and implement individualised care and risk plans in partnership with referring authorities and therapeutic services.
Ensure full compliance with key regulations, including:
Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF)
Work a combination of early and late shifts as part of a rolling rota.
Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Managers in delivering a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Experience & Skills of a Team Leader:

Essential criteria:
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Experience using electronic care records and conducting auditing processes.
Strong administration and IT skills.
Excellent communication abilities, including high‑level literacy and numerical skills.
Knowledge of current childcare legislation and safeguarding practices.
Working knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework and Children’s Homes Regulations.
