Summary
We are seeking a skilled LGV Mechanic/Technician to join our team in Purfleet, Essex. The role involves the maintenance and repair of our mixed fleet of approximately 60 company vans and pickup trucks.
The hours of work are 0800 – 1800 Monday to Friday with optional Saturday overtime available 0800 – 1300.
You will have your own dedicated working bay in our workshop which includes both a two and a four post lift.
We are a family run, friendly team offering a full-time permanent contract of employment.
A company vehicle and fuel are also provided as part of your employment.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out all routine servicing including timing belt replacements
- Diagnosing faults as they are reported
- Installing auxiliary equipment to new vehicles as required
- Ensuring digital work records are completed and up to date
- Minor 'wear and tear' repairs to our fleet of vans and pickup trucks
Qualifications
You will need to hold a NVQ level 3 or equivalent in motor vehicle maintenance and repair, hold a full UK driving licence and have your own tools.
You will be provided with a company van and be predominantly based in our workshop but will be required to attend breakdowns on site or at the roadside during working hours.
Out of hours breakdowns are delt with our team on call.
