Role Overview
We are looking for a professional and dependable Security Guard for our Gatehouse at our Chrome Manufacturing site in Rotherham on a temporary ongoing basis.
This is a varied, hand-on role where you’ll play a vital part in keeping our people, premises and operations safe while delivering excellent customer service.
Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence, as the role requires you to patrol the site using the company security vehicle
Key Responsibilities
· Welcoming visitors, contractors, and suppliers as the first point of contact
· Managing access control, ID checks, and issuing passes
· Carrying out regular patrols across the site (foot & vehicle)
· Monitoring CCTV, alarms, and building systems
· Identifying and reporting incidents or suspicious behaviour
· Completing clear and accurate incident reports
· Supporting emergency situations and liaising with services
· Providing first aid when required
· Operating site systems (phones, weighbridge, etc.)
· Conducting vehicle checks and general inspections
· Supporting wider site operations when needed
Who We’re Looking For
· Previous security or site experience
· Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
· Calm, professional approach in all situations
· Good communication and people skills
· Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented mindset
· Basic IT skills
· Valid Uk driving licence
· Willingness to complete a basis DBS check
· First Aid / Fire Safety training (Desirable)
Working Pattern
12-hour shifts over 7 days – 4 on (DD/NN) 4 off
